Based at a textile factory in Thailand, I build Tauri (Rust) desktop applications that automate day-to-day operations. My focus is replacing manual Excel/VBA workflows with purpose-built tools — production scheduling, QC inspection logs, and more — that make daily operations smoother. I was born in Hokkaido, Japan in 1978. Drawn to art from an early age, I attended fashion design school after high school. Afterward, I worked at a menswear manufacturer, designing and creating patterns in Tokyo while traveling to factories every month to learn hands-on craftsmanship. An interest in overseas production led me to an Internet search company in China, where I helped build a search database in Liaoning Province while picking up Internet technology, HTML, and Chinese. Helping out at a local apparel trading company drew me back into textiles, and I relocated to Shanghai. My Chinese language skills opened the door to a role at a Japanese inspection company, where I served as base manager in Jiangsu Province. By analyzing and improving operations, I significantly reduced complaints and contributed to sales growth. I was then sent to rebuild an underperforming branch in Thailand, transferring to a local joint venture and taking charge of overall corporate management while learning Thai. I launched new ventures — restaurants, a select shop, a car wash business — and turned an accumulated deficit into sustained profitability. I treated the COVID-19 pandemic as a turning point, starting the development of internal business management software to further streamline operations. Learning VBA sparked a genuine love of programming, and I began studying online in earnest. Once the Thailand company was running smoothly under local staff, I decided to build a career around what I love and went independent. Today I run my own practice developing Tauri (Rust) desktop applications that automate operations for a textile factory in Thailand.
